I’ve added a Hall of Fame to Gifted and Talented Ireland to recognise those schools which have developed a policy to cater for exceptionally able children in their schools.
I’m very pleased to announce the first entry to the Hall of Fame. Our Lady of Lourdes National School in Bunclody, Co. Wexford, under the leadership of its progressive principal Mr. James Roberts, with a team of innovative teachers, has developed a programme to ensure the needs of more able children are catered for within the school. The school has implemented a wide variety of activities to engage more able students. Even more striking is that the school has done this while still providing special assistance for the needs of less able children and international pupils also. Congratulation to the Principal, teachers and students of Our lady of Lourdes National School. Well done!
Fantastic to see… and hats off to that school…. may more be found and entered… ;D.. so do oaks from acorns grow.. one tree at a time.. a wood and then hopefully a forest..;-D
